FULL VIEW, PLEASE!

Officially introducing Lucas Nixon, whom everyone calls Nix. He is a pilot of the first World War, semi-blinded by an explosion.
He was grounded because he cannot see enough to fly. It broke his heart, because all he wants to do with his life is fly...

That's such a sad story. I love his look, though. He's so beautiful, in a boyish sort of way. He's really lovely. <3

Have you ever read or seen Band of Brothers? There's a guy in there named Lewis Nixon--is your doll's name just a coincidence? Heh. :)

Yes! That is my favorite series. : )
I didn't mean for his name to sound a lot like Lewis Nixon, but it turned out that way.

Here are some of my Band of Brothers doll tribute images, if you're curious:

It's pretty cool, despite being unintentional!

And yeah, I've been catching up with old deviations and just saw your tribute to Buck. I read his book a few months ago, and it was so inspiring, learning about all he'd achieved in his life beyond WWII...his death really tore me up, and yet it wasn't even a week ago that he passed. But it's great to see that people still know and can learn about his legacy.

I really want to read Buck's book. I have a few on my "to read" list I have to get through first, though.
I too am so happy to see people (especially young people like myself) that are interested in his stories and can respect everything he has done.

So sad and beautiful :'< and the background and placement of the doll in the picture is perfect in my mind, well done!

Thank you very much!
I wanted to go for the effect that he may be sitting still, or has just gotten up, only to pause when he hears the sound of a plane behind him. : )

I really love the fact there is a plan in the background. I think it makes for an interesting shot. :)
